What would Billy do?
Watching RSII for the first time, the AR kiss at the end was quite delightfully unexpected. The Pegasus arc ended up being the impetus for me to see whether anyone else loved this ship as much as I did. Looking back through the AR comm, I saw a question raised about this scene that I had never considered.

Do you think that Billy ever told anyone what he saw?

I doubt it. He was so loyal to Laura personally - he'd disagree with her on political policy, but on a personal level, he was her boy - that I don't think he would have said a word to anyone. Possibly Dee, but even then, I would think not, because it happened when Laura was dying and so I think he would probably have been super-protective of her at that point.

Yeah, I wondered a little bit about Dee, because he had to have been going through a lot over long hours as Laura started to decline, and the kiss would be a small ray of sunshine in an otherwise horrible situation. I think you're right, though, he's so loyal to her (and he already once made the mistake of broadcasting something he shouldn't :) )

I think even the disagreeing with her on political policy was part of his loyalty to her. He cared enough about her personally and politically to call her on it when he thought she was doing something wrong or mistaken, because, as you said, he was her boy.

I strongly believe that if Billy hadn't died, Laura would not have gone quite so much off the deep end later in the series.

No I don't believe Billy would have said anything.
He was very loyal to Laura personally.
This was something so private between 'the parents of the fleet', he would have kept that to himself.

I tend to agree with you! Though Dee was very attached to Adama, you don't think he might mention something to make her feel better?

I was conflicted here. So I don't know, maybe if it came up in a conversation somehow.
Because I do believe that Billy would have acknowledged Dee's attachment to Adama, being quite similar to his for Laura, and such would know she would keep it to herself and see it for what it was.

I hope this makes sense.:)

I don't think he would have said anything- at least not until she had passed. He was loyal, and even if perhaps he wouldn't have agreed if they had had a romantic relationship past that, given that she would have had only days/maybe a week left to live, he wouldn't have said anything. Maybe once she had passed, he would have told Dee, but I don't see him doing anything that could have come back to haunt her in her last days.

That's interesting thinking about after she had passed. I love that he would share the moment in that case as it becomes a beautiful memory of them.

I kind of want a story now where Billy is living some kind of secret life as the Fleet's leading gossip/blind item writer, circulating rumors.

But no, I don't think he would've said anything for all of the reasons everyone else has stated. I like to think it made him like Adama more, though.

I think that Billy had a great deal of respect for both Bill and Laura, and as such he would have kept this to himself.

Though, I do think that had he lived longer, he may have offered up subtle hints to Laura to move things along. :P Billy was such a romantic, he would have wanted her to be happy and loved, and I think that he knew better than anyone how stubborn she could be, and that she would have denied herself any sort of personal happiness for the sake of the fleet.

This would have been so much fun to watch! Damn you, crazy lady from 'Sacrifice'!
