So, um, it's the 25th! Of… well, maybe I'll make a shameless attempt to gloss over that part. *cough*
michiruwater my dear, I'm sorry this is late - I'm sure you were thinking you'd been forgotten! Trust me, you haven't been. :)
And so, um, I present you with wishes 1 and 2. Part 3 got a wee bit held up at the South Pole on account of the penguin strike and a state visit. Yes, south. You've got an upside-down Santa. ;)
On with the show, then. And happy highly!extended!holidays!

What, a single icon in which Mary looks gorgeous? JUST ONE? Heh. Here are three of my historical snagged favorites.
Fic Recs:
This was super tricky! "Long" means different things to different people (heh, do with that what you will), and newbies have usually read everything I would rec! *sigh*
However... Here are a few that are on the longer side, and I've kept it to stories that are finished. I suspect most of these will be classics you've read already, but you never know... :)
Gossip (12ch) and Gods' Gift (6ch) by

Set in canon; good fun. 'Gossip' has been on my top fic list since I started reading A/R.

Since you like NC, here is some great NC smut, but that description does not really do it justice.
The Cutting Edge (12ch) by

An AU I thought might appeal... ;) It's not strictly A/R - in fact, it's mostly Kara & Lee, but A/R are there. But if you're into figure skating, sassy!Kara and hardass!Roslin, there are lulz to be had.
The Book of Pythia (5ch) by

An AU that completely sucked me in one night and I read the whole thing!
michiruwater's third wish was for "Anything New Caprica, preferably something light." Heh. Well, it's both those things, and it's coming, I promise... :)
On New Caprica, Laura had run out of books, having caught a cold and unexpectedly found herself with extra free time to read. In Maya's words, "I don't want to see you back in this tent until your nose is a normal color again." So she stayed in, working her way through the small pile of books she currently had on loan from Bill. He had a thing about never lending them, but she'd insisted he break this rule, because she didn't have room to store them all in her tent, the climate swung wildly between damp and dry, and if they stayed planetside, people would inevitably start poaching them. It broke her heart to think of the state they could end up in.
No, she and Bill had an arrangement. Every few weeks, he'd bring her a little stack, hidden in a duffel bag, and they'd make the swap, leaving Laura with more to read, and Bill with a little something around page 61 of the others. It was a good arrangement. But this time, there was a problem. The pile was finished, and Bill wasn't due to visit again for nearly a week and a half. Bonfire Night. Everyone was looking forward to it, and Laura had to admit that she wanted to be well again to enjoy it. Otherwise, she might have been a little more resistant to Maya's shoving her out of the school tent.
She made a cup of tea and looked at herself in the mirror. Eyes looked better. Much less bloodshot; bags infinitely reduced. Skin improving: less like paper and a better color. Nose, however... still a charming shade of raw pink. And was the skin peeling? So attractive. She closed her eyes and sighed, wishing for the hundredth time that everything she put on it didn't sting. Then she sniffed. It appeared there was to be no immediate solution, and now she had nothing to read, either. Damn.
These were the circumstances that led Laura Roslin to do something she'd normally never consider on New Caprica. She went to the library.
